SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Just flew my Mother in Law from LHR-SIN-MEL in J, which was the A380 and A350, loved every minute of her first SQ flight in J :)

I have also just booked some very well priced airfares for July next year, MEL-CDG and FRA-MEL in J with Amex Plat Travel online.

1 Adult and 2 kids was $20,368.19 through Amex, SQ website $26,755.39

If a SQ saver award is cancelled, any data points on whether it gets returned to the inventory to be redeemed by someone else. Travel is 4 months away and the saver award only booked a few days ago so clearly it has been there for sometime and no one has snapped it up.

Don't want to create a separate thread.

I am going to Europe and quite confused with lounge accesses I am entitled to.
Can someone please check my lounge itinerary?

I am KF Elite Gold and Velocity Platinum.

First flight is with SQ SYD-SIN in Economy.
Lounges available are KF SilverKris or Air New Zealand.

Then it's SQ SIN-LGW in Business.
Lounges available are KF SilverKris or KF Gold.

VIE-CPH with Austrian Airlines in Economy.
Lounge available is Austrian Senator Lounge Vienna.

SQ CPH-SIN in Business.
Star Alliance lounge finder shows SAS Scandinavian Lounge Copenhagen, although SAS isn't a Star Alliance member anymore?

SQ SIN-SYD in Premium Economy.
Lounge available is KF Gold.

Did I get it all right?

Sounds about right. If there’s any doubt on the SAS lounge, the lounge/airline staff will guide you to the right one.

Yes correct. SQ still have arrangements in place with SK (benefits still provided for KF Golds travelling with SK and vice versa).

You’re correct for all lounges.

Thanks.

One more thing. Can I visit a lounge multiple times? Let's say I've already got a boarding pass on hands and 10 hours layover in Singapore - can I got to the lounge right after my first flight lands, get a brekkie, get out and get back again a few hours later right before my flight departs?

This question has been addressed multiple times before on this Thread.
As long as you have an onward boarding pass, you should be able to access the lounge multiple times within 24 hours before your flight.

Thank you for confirming.

I did read last 3 pages of this thread in case someone already asked but I don't think I can do all 667, sorry :(

Just off SQ 319 from LHR, an A380.

A pro tip for those fortunate to fly right up the pointy end, in Suites.

Yes, lots of us have done it more than a few times, but here’s the tip:

Pls do not delay your disembarkation from the plane - there are lots of J pax waiting just the other side of those curtains near the front door, we count each round of thank you’s and good byes given to each of the six of you in Suites as you float off, satiated with caviar and much much better plonk than served further back, because only when you are disappearing down the airbridge are the curtains pulled back and the J torrent released to get off too.
