Any recent COVID experiences on how long before the flight SQ cancel? Got 2 bookings in August. One is on SQ 222 which hasn't flown for the past 2 weeks and clearly will not be taking the flight anyway

I got notified 8 June for a flight at the end of July. The email said they were processing refunds in flight date order. So I'm not expecting anything back until the third week of July at this stage.

Good luck with that! I am still waiting for a refund for a flight on Mar 31/Apr 7.

No point in crying over spilt viruses and forced cancellations - let's get about booking 2021 junkets:

Who knows whether the 380s will still be on these routes mid 2021 but we can only hope. And not a Saver Award to be seen anywhere so we are not missing nout if we can get onboard.

I’d be happy flying into AMS on the 777 to save 224k points...

Just booked mid Dec Syd to Zrh and early Jan back home In A380s suites. Interesting that when I said wasn’t interested in paying cancel fees because a) SQ sched cud change, b) A/c changes with A380s replaced, c) codeshares dont happen (partic VA..) that SQ said there wud be a mid Nov confirmation date for the whole booking..

Fair enough - latest news from Vic and elsewhere don’t give any confidence that Intl or state borders will be open this side of Sept or Oct, and that queen of the sky, the a380, is looking an expensive dame that may never see the demand it needs to justify flying again. Sad to think..

Rcvd another $ + pts refund for a cancelled 04/05/2020 flt into account last nt - that's 10/12 completed refunds for cancellations since shutdown commenced - now waiting only for 2 x 07/07/2020 Euro *A flts cancelled 21/05/2020 - moral to the story is they do filter back albeit certainly not instantly.

I tried to work out cost of extending miles, I have no status. Can someone clarify this for me please.

Due to covid, miles that would have expired have been extended for 6 months: Membership Renewal, Elite Gold Rewards and KrisFlyer Miles Extension.

You can also extend/save miles in a number of other ways, although not all are applicable for future travel (for example, some of these options convert to hotel points or krisflyer shopping): Updated: KrisFlyer miles expiring? 12 ways to save them from the scrapheap

To extend miles it's USD12 per block of 1000, or according to the article you can also sacrifice 1200 points per 10000 block.
