SQ or EK first

Just to add to my decisively indecisiveness I can see the day before there is the EK night flight on the 777 that then gets me to JFK the night before my SQ flight arrives.

Half the way on A380 aint too bad. Advantage is a smaller F cabin, but looks to be slightly smaller F seats too.

The seats on the 777 are pretty much identical to the A380. No shower and no bar at the back. Smaller cabin. But once you are in your seating area you have no idea of the rest of the cabin anyway.

Just for interest sake I called up AAdvantage to see if they had any seats on he Etihad First Apartment and there was a reasonable amount of inventory to AUH, with F on the 777 to NYC also fairly easy to get.

Once again very impressed with how simple the booking process was. If only they could have all their partner airlines online, but I was only on hold for a minute and maybe on the call 3 minutes to get my record locator. Looks like I'll be purchasing 160K miles with the current offer.

So I have a booking on hold and now have to see if my boss is flexible to not roster me on an afternoon or night on a Friday so I can get home, shower and be ready for my chauffeur pickup.

Pretty decent value for 150K in points.

Will have 3 days in AUH. Dun mind some beach time before I freeze in NYC and Toronto.

My days of trying to earn QFF points are definitely over.

Can u advise How many AAmiles for jfk-auh f one way? I'm tempted to go apartments in lieu of my current EK jfk-dxb :)

No first apartment on AUH - JFK

Only available ont he A380 which current just AUH - LHR and AUH - SYD from mid year.

I believe AU - LHR is just 40K miles.

and that Emirates bar, spent few happy hours there...

Yeah the bar certainly looks a great place to while away a few hours on a long flight.

Maybe next year. So many choices, so little annual leave. Oh to have some long service leave, but who gets to stay in the same company for 10 years these days

You're the first person to say anything bad about their food. Most reviews I've seen give it a thumbs up.

For me, their food wasn't bad per se but I agree with Vantage that SQ is the superior dining experience.
