Hi

I have booked an open jaw flight MEL-DME, LHR-MEL in June 2017 on Singapore Airlines. The booking is in economy flexi-saver (W class - refundable and changeable for a $70 fee).

I was thinking of paying to change the return leg to Business class once I have arrived in Moscow. My question - is it possible to change it mid trip? How can I minimise the cost of doing so?

Thanks

I couldn't do that for a friend when I gave her a 50th birthday present on SQ. She had a half used run and I wanted to move her into Suites for the return journey.
It would have meant losing the existing ticket for no miles refund nor taxes refund and doing a new ticket.
Adjusting the ticket before your departure is a very modest cost.
Of course your open jaw paid for ticket may have different rules so call them and ask.

I am assuming though that this was an award whereas the OP is a paid ticket.

Yes I amended and suggested a call to Kris Flyer as the rules may be different on this ticket.
