Qantas better get a 'wriggle on' with retiming its Singapore flights to do something other than just feed passengers onto the Singapore-London leg!

The two flights are neat (for me), I like the later departure from MEL, as it gives a fuller day here. But also they would be pretty good for Virgin connections in both directions. I imagine SQ 207 will be very popular as it will connect from many European and Indian services and also allow onward connections in MEL as well, unlike the later 217 service.

Rats.
I was really hoping for one with a 7.00am MEL departure to tempt me from CX.

Come on QF, give us at least 2 daily direct flights to SIN from MEL, (1 in morning, 1 in evening) if SQ can do 4, why can't you do at least 2!!

Qantas have given you Jetstar. From February there might be a QF codeshare to SIN on EK.
