Hi folks,

Just thought I'd share some good news (well, at least for some of us) - just got off SQ256 BNE-SIN on the usual A333, and scored an aircraft with the horrible shin-bashing legrests removed!

I don't know how the seats feel for anyone shorter than me, but it's a big win for anyone who's average-to-tall height IMHO!

I've just got off a couple of the same planes and found that they were quite annoying. Yes they bash your shins and not really useful for someone near 6 ft. They're even worse with something in your seat pocket. I went as far as removing the pocket contents so I could raise the bar as far as possible ! Although I think shorter pax may be ok with them, I'd happily see them go.

I suppose if they take them off all the SQ A380s and A333s they're going to save plenty of fuel over the whole fleet!

The footrests have to go. It sounds crazy but this is a big reason I fly QF. Being taller than average means the footrests ruin any chance of legroom in Y.

Next to go should be broadsheet newspapers in Y :)
