SPG gold perk renewal?

When I originally signed up for the Altitude Black I received the SPG Gold privilege which I foolishly activated straight away. However, it's been over a year now and it's since lapsed. Does anybody know if this is an ongoing thing or just a once off?

I rang on SPG to get my account reactivated, but it's just Preferred Guest now, not Gold.

I rang up Westpac to generate me a new Promotion code for the website, but when I put that in it says "Member already registered".

Anybody know how I can get it back?

My bad. Turns out I didn't read the bit that says you have to stay one night.
So the qualification is sitting dormant in my account until I notch up a stay.

I think that the SPG gold upgrade Workd MasterCard promotion was a one off though- can only ever have it once. Interested if anyone gets it more than once

You could always try registering a new SPG account, if the promo is still on.
