My 400 airnz airpoints expire next yr and I'm not travelling to NZ (but am flying to the US). Is there anyway I can spend these from Australia? It appears you cant, ie buying wine etc you have to be a nz resident, you cant book flights unless the flight or connection touches NZ etc.

TIA

Have u tried looking on the air nz airpoints partner portal? It's under airpoints/rewards. I did notice though that air nz must be blocking a lot of the star alliance awards as even though they are showing on united, air nz isn't showing them. I was able to book some European flights this way this year.

Or else I'd try contacting them to ask for a extension and see what they say.

Actually I'm not sure if you can book the airpoints partner awards from an Aussie address.

You can redeem for Qantas Domestic Flights with the partner portal, but I'm not sure if it's doable with an AU account (I have a NZ account).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
