FAA has allowed 128 Southwest planes to keep flying while missed back-up systems checks are performed - five (5) days have been allowed to sort things out.

Whoever made that call will be hoping nothing goes 'pear shape' in the interim.

I avoid Southwest nearly always but sometime there is little or no option ....I'm doing BWI to ORF on March 13 ...... I seriously tossed up driving

They discovered the error, and went to the FAA to work out a solution. I can think of some who would have behaved differently. The systems won't fail if used...same as your car won't stop the day after you miss a service.
