Hi Guys
IN a couple of weeks I am transiting in MEL (CBR-MEL-ADL) and need to do a one hour conference call. I am flying QF but have 30 mins from landing in MEL until the call and 45 mins after the call to get to the aircraft.
Can anyone suggest somewhere in MEL to do the call - I can of course access the QF J lounge and the VA Lounge but am not inclined to spend $100 on booking a QF meeting room.
I will be a passive attendee on the call mostly.
I am probably going to resort to doing the call with headphones in a corner of the J lounge but wondered if anyone had inspired options.
I am not sure if VA have quiet rooms that can be used for free?

This is going to sound really strange, and possibly a little off-putting, but it's the only option I can think of to get the kind of privacy you're after - why not get a shower room in the J lounge or even QP?

DJs meeting rooms are $50, or you can try the business centre on the right of the lounge angels when you walk in, away from the crowd (if there is one).

I'd pick a quiet corner of the J Lounge, just make sure you have a headset for your mobile (or even just a set of headphones as your mainly passive...), otherwise it will not be fun holding the phone to your ear, and you don't want to use loudspeaker as that will annoy others.

That's what I've done in the past...
