I got some really cheap flights to Japan, although Jetstar has already changed the flight dates and times twice so I am a little worried about what the actual dates will be by go time, lol.

The main flight is on a Dreamliner and I am wondering if I will be able to buy some kind of audio jack splitter so my wife and I might be able to watch a movie together on the IFE, with some earphones each. I assume Jetstar will only provide 1 set per rented IFE, so I should get another pair myself beforehand. So I am just wondering if there is anything I need to know about the audio jack splitter and earphone type?

Secondly, as far as taking our own food on the international leg, what are the limits as far as home made? can we take sandwiches? I don't mind for my wife and I too much but we will have a 3 year old so if we can't take homemade food I'll make some other arrangement.

And I believe there is no water access/bubbler on board with Jetstar? Does that leave us with purchasing water at the airport after security or would those prices be the same as buying bottled water during the flight?

Thanks!

Jetstar is cheap for a reason. Due to numerous horrendous experiences ive sworn off them for life.

In answer to your question: you can take your own sandwiches on board. Water is available on board but its nit advertised.

Haha, I am semi-prepared for a soul destroying flight! My expectations are low, but it was a good price as far as getting us from our hometown to Tokyo(normally have to drive to Syd).

It's often cheap with jetstar. The problem wont be with the flight. It will be when they make up a story and cancel the flight and abondon you. Read the various stories online including the recent Bangkok/coughet debacle. Jetstar just don't care about their customers.
