Some countries are big CC takers and some not

Does Canada take cc for small purchases etc or are they still demanding cash? I hope to order as little cash as I can get away with. Will need tips and that sort of thing.

I know Iceland is very happy with cc on pretty much everything, except tips.

I just asked my colleague who is from Canada and she said there may be a minimum purchase depending on the merchant just like in Australia...
