Hey all,

I'm looking to take advantage of the bonus status credit offer QFF has so kindly offered me for the moment on the following itin

25/12 QF MEL - BNE - NRT
01/01 QF SIN - MEL

My JQ NRT - HKG - SIN flight lands at 6.15pm and the QF36 departs at 7.50pm. Will I have enough time to go through customs etc seeing as I'm booking the JQ flight as a seperate booking not linked to my QF reservation?

Alternatively, if I book this via a travel agent, will the status bonus still apply?

Thanks in advance!

Your connection time in SIN is only 90mins which is probably too close for comfort considering you are effectively taking 2 LCC flights beforehand either of which could easily be delayed. Can you look at a direction connection into SIN with a bit more breathing room?

Jetstar has a very limited schedule between Tokyo/HK/SIN and connections in HK are quite a new thing for them as its always been an outport until recently, I would be nervous about the connecting time/logistics in HK also (they only use bus gates there) it may be that your SIN flight would not wait if you are late in from Tokyo.

Booking through a TA won't change the SC situation, as long as they put your FF # into the reservation and of course book into the correct fare bucket.
