Does anyone have any bril idea's to get pass them if they don't want to let me in. Flight is 2.20 so not allowed to fly Bus Class

Thanks

I can't comment on Singapore as I have always been on either QF or BA. As for Bangkok on a visit a year ago I was actually flying on TG from BKK to SIN. I walked into the lounge and just showed my card. When I was asked for the boarding pass I gave it to the girl on the counter and calmly whistled dixie. She told me the usual blah about having to fly on QF/BA to which I responded with surprise about my 'inability' to enter the lounge on my card. I then said that I had some urgent business to attend to and would it be at all possible to allow me in this one time? Their cultural orientation is to avoid conflict and so I was allowed in.

Was I taking advantage of the situation? Too right. Did it harm anyone? Nup. Just be calm and don't show agitation. If the answer is no cop it sweet however.

Don't even bother approaching the CX lounge. They delight in saying no.

I just came in from Hong Kong and was surprised that at the Check-in station in Kowloon, I was given a piece of paper that was my 'guest pass' to the Qantas lounge. I had to present this paper as well as boarding card to go into the Hong Kong Qantas lounge.

Perhaps this is a way of making sure that only Qantas flying ppl are allowed.

If you are desparate, perhaps keep a supply of guest passes and ask a nice looking person if you could be their guest, show them ur membership card and all that. Of course, as a guest you are supposed to be flying that day on a Qantas flight but you never know.

If you have gold or platinum status with QFF (ruby or emerald OW) you would be able to access to CX lounge in Bangkok

QC Lounge

Hi Just to let you know and thank you for your help.

QC Singapore - i think i supprised them b arriving when i did [a little earlier than the Q flights] but handed over card and boarding pass and was admitted but she said i had to look out for the Cathay flight as they didnt call those.

QC Bangkok - the lounge wasnt open when i arrived opens 1pm i think. when it did i smiled and handed my card and boarding pass, she commented that i didnt have much time before my flight, i replied that i just wanted to plug in my laptop and i went in.

Interesting response, but i dont think they want the hassles

FYI Cathay as a member commented was a total no go :(

happy flying
Andrew
