Singapore Airlines Suites

Hi all I must say I Must say that I’m enjoying AFF and its a lot of help. So now down to Business, I was talking to my Centurion travel consultant as I’m booking a trip to Italia June next year, I always travel OW .

He suggested I look at Singapore Airline on the A380 in the first Suites he can get a fare of 11k PP which sounds great, and I was wondering what you all think and if any of you have been in the Suites I have flown in first on the Qantas a380 a number of times.
So let’s hear your feedback.

I haven't flown First on Singapore (nor am I ever likely to!) but a quick squiz on their website suggests it to be pretty good.

I don't think SQ operates the A380 into Italy, only 77W and 772ER, unless you're planning on connecting.

Wayne,I got told SIN were not running full in Suites so there is probably a big opportunity to negotiate either a points or a discount price.If the Suites are typically half full that is a lot of opportunity.We go First with SQ on 777 and 747 on points and I am a fan of the service to get KRUG or Dom Perignon champagne.We each had 2 seats on the SIN-MAN run this month so we had our beds made up and moved over when it was time to sleep.The 747 is being retired.One radical fat cell is all it takes to become a fat cough but I am not sure how to become a rich fat cough.

I was talking to the purser recently at the airport who told me that on the Sin - Mel leg there were two people in the Suites and on the return leg it was empty. For this reason they were planning to pull the suites and replace them with First or Bus on some routes, Mel being one of them.

I guarantee you that SQ could EASILY fill them up by releasing those F award seats at a SAVER level.

I imagine if there selling the suites at 11k PP they should sell well when I first looked at them some years ago they where selling for around 28k PP and the price is now 4 k lower than the best QF First

If the take up is so ordinary it would be a great idea to give them a call to discuss either money or points.

Cove I think your right I may give them a call direct I was offered the price from centurion looking at points seats on the website they seem to not offer the suites on points, only first seats but I will call

Great negotiating......but will you ever be able to go back or are you heading towards a private jet??

Cove I must say that I made the decision a long time ago to fly first on int flights and Business class on domestic as for PV Jets ido have a mate who flys and sells falcons but that's a bit out of my range
