Does by any chance anyone have "on file" points earn table for SIA flights for Velocity members. Specifically N class fares. I seem to recall they made a class / earn change early 2014.

Thanks in advance.

If you are booking on a SQ ticket not VA ticket (codeshare)

N class is Discount Eco SC earn
https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/content/Info/StatusEarnFareClass/

And the points earn is 0.5 VA points per mile

If booked on a VA flight number: N is still 0.5 points/mile and Discount Eco Sc earn but you get status bonus if you are above red (that you don't get if you book on a SQ ticket)

This is good if you want to know the points earn:

Personally, I booked BNE-SIN-BKK return just the other day and Flexi saver on SQ was only $80 more than Saver and is 1 VA point per mile and Full Eco SC earn rate - so check that out if you like. But I wont get the gold & plat points bonus.

Cheers

Appreciate the response. I am having a minor battle with VA at the moment. It relates to a flight booked by a family member in 2013. The points claim was sent in within a few days of return. It was a direct SIA booking N class fare. I seem to recall at the time that this qualified for points / status credits. Current VA website indicates N class only qualifies after March 2014. Would like confirmation on what the situation was prior. At the very least, if points dont apply, I wonder if SC's do?

Waybackmachine goes to Jan 2014 and has it as ineligible for points.

The status credits page goes back a little further, and you may have a case, it only mentions N as ineligible for domestic travel on codeshare partners.

The smoking gun! Thanks darraghk!!

Were you booked on a SQ flight number or VA flight number ?? If on A SQ number the information that darraghk posted is in relation to a VA flight number

If you were on a SQ flight number- you need to look at the SQ info

Hi Williams F1, looks like points are ineligible however SC's would apply as the only caveat relating to SC's with SIA was for SIA/Silk flights booked with KrisFlyer miles.

You mentioned that the travel was in 2013. Status credits are only valid for 12months form earn date ... Even if eligible they would have expired in 2014. Is the issue that you missed out on a status upgrade because of these missing status credits? eg if awarded in that year, you would have made silver / Gold / Plat or maintained?

There is no such thing as lifetime status count

We did a claim within a few weeks of the flights but never received the status credits. Granted, they have a 12 months shelf life, however we never received them in the first place.
