Hi,

Hubby & I are considering changing over to Singapore Airlines after many years with Qantas & both reaching WP.
We would like to know if they have the same as Qantas where you can buy club lounge access?
From what I can make out on their website lounge access is only available once you reach Krisflyer Gold.

Hoping someone can give me some information to assist with our decision to change to Singapore Airlines.

Thanks

Access to lounges is via status or if ticket is business class and above.

If you have status with Virgin then you are able to use the SQ lounges when flying SQ.

At the Australian end, no possibility for paid lounge access but at Singapore there are several pay lounges available at ~$30 AUD per visit (no need to be a member).

Another option would be looking at a paid membership with United Airlines "United Club" or Air Canada "Maple Leaf Club", which allow access to star alliance member operated lounges (i.e. not third party lounges) which would includes lounges at Perth and Singapore... to see where use the star alliance lounge finder - where you select the airports you will be travelling from/to, the airline and then select "Paid Membership Card" (leaving Frequent Flyer Program blank).

No paid membership as pointed out by others, however crediting to Agean will see Gold before long if you do frequent travel. Or try Turkish by getting a status match.
