Singapore Airlines. Changed Redemption Availability?

I've recently run away from the White Kangaroo and was delighted with the Singapore Airlines offering - first class, virtually any day available at nearly half the points cost of Qantas - why wouldn't I be delighted?

Before transferring my points into KrisFlyer, I looked regularly for Aust-Europe availability and continued to be delighted - 'til this month - suddenly, there's almost zero availability except at the higher [points] cost fares (First rather than First saver).

My question is an appeal really - does anyone know what's changed at SingAir?

Have they commenced using more CodeShare flights (which cannot be redeemed on), taken 747's off the Aust-Europe routes (which have the First Saver option) or just choked the number of available seats?

I'm interested to hear of other KrisFlyer experiences.

Unfortunately, first saver redemptions (along with *A redemptions on SQ F) to Europe are quickly becoming history.
All the 77W flights aren't eligible for First Saver. Anecdotal evidence suggests that they do exist (and i have seen DEL-SIN showing availability) but v rarely. Some people suggest checking for availability 4 weeks before departure.

A380 flights aren't available for F redemptions full stop. 2 out of the 3 dailies to LHR have already gone A380, and they've preemptively blocked out the 3rd daily in anticipation of upgauging it when equipment arrives to prevent people from doing the whole 'ticket when 744, ride Suites for free' thing.

Your only tenable option for a fist saver redemption to Europe is SQ25/26 SIN-FRAvv (the one that goes on to JFK).
