Howdy folks. Did a bit of searching, but the threads I found seemed to come up with questions that didnt really fit the bill, so here i go!

I'm traveling next week on Singapore - to Colombo, and while I'm well under the 30kg limit weight wise, my bag is already full.

I've been googling and combing the SQ site, but its not clear if i can take a second suitcase with me in economy, or am i just limited to the one piece of checked luggage?

any help would be appreciated!

No you can take as many as you like. SQ flights that don't touch the Americas operate on the weight system without restrictions on the number of bags.

Yep, SQ operates under the weight system... So pack as many bags as you can carry as long as their combined total weight is <30kg and you should be sweet!

I have never had issues checking in luggage and golf clubs in my baggage allowance.

Used to keep it down to ~21-22kgs when the limit was 20kgs. Manage much more easily where most limits are now 30kgs.

Hey guys thanks, went through without a hitch! JohnK, I always felt the (old) limits were miserly - although sometimes you got lucky and got 30kgs on a sale fare.

I really like the weight system. Last time I travelled I had two bags and a box. Different pieces of luggage come with me on various legs. The box's contents were gifted to my hosts on the first night. Contents of the larger case were left with my staff on the next stop. I then came home with one bag inside the other...arriving home with one checked in bag which contained the other suitcase.
