SIN-MEL which flight and seat?

Hi All,

Will be my first time travelling on SQ Business (and SQ in general!) with my wife, returning from our honeymoon SIN-MEL in Feb 2025.
I have the option of opting for either the A350-900 or 777-300ER. We will be opting for the middle seats to be together.

1. Which plane would you go for?
2. For the plane you selected, is there any particular seat you recommend?

Both B777-300ER flights are overnight so you may not get the full experience of the meals and in-flight entertainment?

I've done this route a few times with SQ, on their old 380, 777 and 350.
Personally prefer SQ207.
The overnight flight is too short to sleep properly and they only provide one meal...and if you choose to eat as breakfast they will wake you up two hours before landing.

I would pick the one during the day to enjoy the food and service rather than overnight.

I would avoid the 777… awful seats with the tiniest of footwells, on a sharp and uncomfortable diagonal sleeping position. The a350 on the other hand - we had the bulkheads - was much much better. Even away from the bulkhead, the a350 seats have a much better design.
