SIN *A lounge that will allow one extra guest?

Myself and four work colleagues are all travelling SQ from MEL/SYD to CDG in August, and are all on the same flight SIN-CDG. Class of travel / status for the five of us are:

Me: Flying J, *A Gold & VA WP
Colleague #1: Flying Y, *A Gold
Colleague #2: Flying Y, no status
Colleague #3: Flying Y, no status
Colleague #4: Flying Y, no status

My understanding is that both myself and Colleague #1 will be able to access the KrisFlyer Gold lounge in SIN (or any other *A lounge except SilverKris) and each be able to guest one extra person. That makes for a total of four people with lounge access, but we have five.

Does anyone know if any of the *A lounges in SIN are likely to be willing to bend the rules and allow five of us in - and if so, which one(s)?

Maybe the three NS PAX can draw straws.

That's far too kind - we'll see who wants to do the biggest favours for the two of us with lounge access and decide based on that ;-)

Yeah, that's a possibility - I have a PP membership (via a CC) which is unlimited for me and one guest, and we could just pay for the others. Would prefer to do it for free, but better than nothing!

IMHO it all depends on the lounge angel or lounge dragon of the day.

I have been over guesting allowance and no probs and then the next time it was an issue.

In rare cases they may let you all in SIN if you are really nice but again in my experience you wont find angels or dragons in Sin...but sure you will find plenty of lounge monkeys who have set answers which is a no.


In Sin, I was wondering if you could take one of your colleagues to the Silver Kris Lounge. Then take another to the *A lounge. They may inform you that you have a better lounge but tell them your friends are all in the *A lounge. Once you are get all of them in. Go back to the silver kris and enjoy the silver kris lounge with your friend. The other three can enjoy the * A lounge.

I could do that, but it would be nice to keep us all together. Thanks for the tip though
