I've been planning a J redemption trip to Cebu. There is an interesting dynamic range of availability on the SIN-CEB sector. The first leg of any trip that I search for always shows "Not offered" but the return trip has availability. If I reverse the sector and run a dummy booking for making the first sector a return leg of an alternate booking the same sector that was previous "Not Offered" now shows availability but the first sector is still "Not Offered".

I had a similar issue with a CEB redemption at Christmas.

On both occasions a call to the call centre resolved the problem, they made the booking on the phone and still processed with the 15% booking.

Moral of the story, if you are doing a redemption booking which involves integration with flights on Silkair, if you can't find online availability then call the call centre.

Good tip - I found exactly the same thing recently with flights to Siem Reap.

I remember doing bookings MEL-SIN-SZN few years back - SIN-SZN on MI invariably showed up wait list - but SIN-SZN when searched alone always showed available.

So this is not new phenomena or not specific to new SQ web site - been this way for quite some years.

but also back in those days quick call to KF resolved it on spot
