Elements of this topic have been discussed at length but as a quite frequent flyer on QF dom routes where I'm very selective of my seats (where possible), here's the question.
Do you try for a vacant seat next to you or one in front (ie exit row or bulkhead). There are perils with both of course. In my recent travels, I have chosen exit row as I hate the recliners only to be seated next to a giant of a man in hi vis and thongs. Choosing the aisle of a 3 seat may give you a better chance of some spread out room but then you may get a recliner in front.
I suppose this question is not for those who travel in J or can get in row 23 so please don't reply, more us plebs who have reasonable seat selections which way do you swing ?
