Sichuan Airlines J class info

They use the qantas international business lounge out of Sydney and Melbourne.

They also interline with virgin domestically and you can book the interlined tickets through trip.com which is Chinese owned. I haven’t gone on my trip yet so haven’t confirmed luggage is checked through but friends have said it is.

So my trip ex Adelaide is Adelaide to
Melbourne on virgin, then Melbourne to Chengdu on sichuan.

You end up with the virgin lounge in Adelaide and the qantas lounge in Melbourne.

Also, for Melbourne at least, the a350/a330 rotation is seasonal with the a350 over our summer months.

Yes I flew them.

The #1 thing to work out is wether you will be on the a330 or a350.

Food was ok, bed was flat.

On the way home we were delayed 12 hours causing me to miss my late night connection to Adelaide. Their communication was bad regarding what would happen as there were only a handful of connecting passengers. They put us up in hotel on Melbourne and rebooked connecting flight for next morning but were unable to tell us what was happening until the moment we landed in Melbourne.

The 330s are still angled lie flats. They weren’t too bad to be honest. I’d fly again. Just make sure you are very aware of what you are getting. I have a feeling that they actually price the a350 higher so the cheaper fares might be on the 330.

It’s no Qatar or Emirates or SIA or even qantas J experience but the bed is flat and of course you get the J perks of skipping queues at the airport and lounge access etc.

Chengdu is a pretty incredible global city too so is worth a stopover.

Above is a quick snap I took of the cabin. A330 are angle lie flats in 2 2 2.

As I was flying solo it was critical to get a middle seat so I made sure I was at the check in desk when it opened. No ability to select seat online when booking via trip.com .

Agree Chengdu is cool. Been there a few times on other carriers and visited the Pandas etc - a great experience!

Just went in to add some other European cities and got nowhere.

What a joke of a website. Bye!

If they can't get that right, I'd hate to try and sort any IROPS issues.
