Today Cathay Pacific reported HK$10.8 Billion net profit for the group, however HK Express has reported 400% increase in loss to close to HK$1B in FY25.
The loss of HK Express accounted for 10% of missed profit for the group. Honestly, why don't Cathay cut loose with the big elephant in the room and close HK Express and introduce Business Class to Okinawa, Da Nang on Cathay aircrafts so CX can up its profit bottom line?
I am sure there are more revenue selling OneWorld and partner reward seats than selling fares for HK$38.
Every time I see those budget Airlines such as TigerAir Taiwan, HK Express, Scoot hanging around, which they failed to offer Business Class, failed to provide status credits, points and contempt to their parent airlines alliance membership, I feel outraged that they are simply putting premium passengers to complete contempt and insult to their customer base.
