Short-backed female seeking carry-on advice

Yes, I do use packing cubes, and I have way too many of them! Yes, the straps can fold away, but I've never done that. I find that I always have it on my back except at the moment I'm loading it into the overheard locker etc and then the little handles work really well. Being quite small - proper carry on size, it never gets in the way when I'm walking down or waiting in the aisle.

And, as an Aussie well known brand, Caribee, I assume if it did fail, they'd back it up too. The front pocket has what they call an organiser panel. http://www.caribee.com/#!sky-master-40-carry-on/c1bdj
Thanks for the pic. Looks good. Do you use travel cubes for your packing? And do the shoulder straps tuck away, making it what seems to be called a 'convertible'?

Thanks, that looks good. But one poster on Product Review said:"We bought 2 of these bags to go to Asia for 5 weeks and that is how long they lasted

I had a Carabee backpack for 20+ years and it served well. Obviously quality does change over the decades. Also depending upon the Sennheisers you have, I personally prefer them to the earbud Bose.

As a final suggestion, if you can track down the shop from which Mary Poppins bought her carpet bag, then I think that'd answer all your problems. ;)

Yes, this is the 2nd Caribee I've had. The first was just a school bag and I used to check it in and it went around the world 3 times before I retired it.

Good to have another vote for the Caribee, though I'm tempted now (from recommendations elsewhere) by the Osprey Farpoint 40.

My Sennheisers are labelled "Noise Guard" - don't know precise model number, but I've had them for several years. What don't you like about the Bose earbuds (besides the price!)? I was simply considering weight.

As for that carpet bag - not a hope!
