Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast spit is for sale for a paltry $120 000 000.

This follows recent news of the Indian owner's alleged involvement with an $8 billion ponzi scheme that sucked in about 900 000 would-be investors.

I'll jump in early with my prediction of a certain federal politician with a Sunshine Coast resort, being a front runner with a bid!

What's the chances?

It was sold last at a bargain price of $60 Mill.
I guess they have spent about $20 Mill. on well overdue renos. so it appears a nice profit on projected sale 'value".

Oh No.. The thought..... Imagine.. Giant Pandas with flashing neon eyes adorning the Lobby?? .. Please no.. :-|

You're not thinking big enough........the Gold Coast (or at least some of the Gold Coast) wants a cruise ship terminal. What better concept than to sink a Titanic replica just offshore for the world's biggest themed cruise ship terminal........right outside the Mirage resort?

I think I'll go and lie down now, it's almost ridiculous enough to win a guernsey.

I won't laugh... Perceived response..
'Now.. that is a great idea swanning it.. and find a sneaky way to get a Yuanzi scheme launched to fund this" ;)
