Here we go again up for grabs is a VA Companion Gold. I
Out of curiosity, Whats the process for gifting this, a phone call or online?

I have a mate who is platinum a million times over and has so much money he has never used his points and doesnt care, and wouldnt have a clue to what benefits he gets.

I am going to ask him to gift me gold, but if it requires too much effort like finding out login details he wont bother.

Person A phones the helpdesk and says they have this benefit and wish to use it/gift it to Person B. Gives name, Velocity # over the phone and thats pretty much it. Give it a couple of minutes and Person B's status will change.

Edit: Hubby signed a form so I have access to manage/control his Velocity account so he doesnt even make the phone call as I do it.

@theblank what @Denali mentioned is spot on it is just a very simple process and once getting through to the CC call time is less than 5-10 minutes. I have not yet called to gift to @crumpet but that is only due to work and by the time I have time to call the CC is closed or I am just to tired.

@daft009 I saw that post on Ausbt and thought about chiming in and suggest they just give it away. One of the reasons I am willing to just 'free stuff' away is - that on ebay you have to comply with postage timings and the buyer demands that I cannot or could not be bothered with. I do keep records of who gets what on 'free stuff' posts and other 'stuff' given away via PM, I also keep records of those who ask for 'stuff' and do not follow through and those who seem to expect I will work to their needs and wants, that is just not going to happen and these types get very little or nothing. While it is 'free' it is on my terms and timelines.

If the Ausbt poster can sell the VA SG to some punter for $5K maybe......;), VA WP is not even worth 5K.
