Can someone please recommend a service apartment (2 bedroom for 4 adults) in SYD?

I have been looking at the Grand Mercure One Darling Harbour in SYD.

I am also looking for a Hotel or Service Apartment with cheap/free parking available in ADL.

Thanks

Chucksta

For SYD, try one of the Meriton apartments, either World Square or Kent Street - if your staying weekdays the rates are quite reasonable but Fri and Sat are very hefty.

With the 2 bedroom units, you will be on level 62 or higher which means plenty of views.

Otherwise try the new Fraser Suites on Kent Street which is next door to the Meriton Kent Street.

have stayed in the Franklin Central Apartments & Mantra On Frome Apartments before in ADL! No probs with either - clean, comfortable, central location & well priced!

and CBD parking prices in ADL are nothing to worry about - eg earlybird for around $10-12, max daily rate rarely over $20!

and if ya feeling rebelious, I think my last ADL parking fine was around $20

I stay at the Grand Mercure every time I'm in Sydney with a group of 4 or more adults, and would certainly recommend it. It has the best parking of any Sydney hotel (easy access, secure to the hotel/apartments in the complex, and is self-parking rather than valet), the rooms are fairly spacious with a good kitchen and 2 bathrooms and the view (especially on the 2 or 3 bedroom apartments on the Darling Harbour side away from the convention centre) is great.

On the downside there is no restaurant in the Grand Mercure, but obviously it is a self-contained apartment and the Sydney Fish Markets are a short walk away...

Try the Median chain; well appointed and sometimes, but not always, at a good price.

If you don't mind being on the city fringe rather than in the middle of the CBD, the two bedroom units at the Median on Crown (Sydney) are often good value if you are sharing.:)
