Selecting F seats on QF128

I hope as a WP I will be protected, for me it is already a downgrade going from a F suite to a Skybed.
I am not convinced Platinum means anything anymore.

Everytime I hear downgrade I keep thinking about how a Gold was treated, and is still being treated, at LAX. Status does not mean much.

Surprising HKG is a very popular route at the moment.
Could it be the aircraft operating as opposed to aircraft operating SIN/BKK?

lot of students going home.

but QF has a single flight a day to HKG. Compared to triple or quadruple daily on CX? I'd hope QF could manage to fill a single plane.

downgrades? It really is time for EU compensation at 75% of the ticket price for a downgrade.

My quick eye survey saids no they are not students.
Mostly middle aged holiday travellers in Economy.

I only do Business class for work, and around the cabin it looks to be mostly middle age business travellers.
Quite a number of frequent flyers.

Scored a couple of F seats on QF127 today after our upgrade to J came through

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but after the hassle of securing a seat in the F cabin on the A380, Qantas has now changed the flight back to a 747 on Dec 25. Interesting that they would do this 4 days out (it was still an A380 yesterday), a bit too early substitution due to an aircraft going tech, and would imagine there would be some issues calling in a 747 crew on Christmas day with such short notice. All fare buckets in J and W are zero now, with QF happy to sell 7 Y seats only, so a massive loss of capacity on the flight. Have managed to change to 5B on a refurbished 747, I hope this doesn't change again. At this stage my flight on Jan 1 is still showing an A380.

See you on the flight! This happened as well to me.
