We've had bare feet on bulk heads; we've had bare feet up in the air in cabins. Now I bring you the new look in the VA BNE lounge this morning.

Just beware where you rest your toast next.

That is so disgusting!
Do you think the lounge staff would ask him to move his (gross) feet if they were made aware of it?

Not uncommon in BNE. Can see these kind of people also in the QF J lounge, especially during the summer.
Dress code enforcement did improve things a bit but bad manners are hard to change...

To the OP - Have you sent this to the VA Facebook page? Or at least to the customer service people?

I realize it's completely up to you but if it was my photo and experience I'd want to at least make VA aware of it - that might ensure a message gets to their staff that they should be doing something about stopping this sort of thing.

I don't understand what makes anybody think this is acceptable in a public place...

Classy...

OT: Anyone happen to know what's being built/refurbished in the Adelaide lounge?

^^^ Agreed. The only way to fix this sort of thing is to make VA aware of it. Posting it here makes us angry but does nothing to fix the problem.

Twitter and Facebook are great for this kind of thing. They are constantly monitored. You would get a resolution of someone walking up to this individual and saying this is not on within 10-20 minutes. You have to give it to VA they are very quick to respond to any issues I have and post the on Twitter.

Her gross feet.

I would be twittering it as well with the @VirginAustralia handle.

I'm afraid I don't do Facebook or Twitter (#curmudgeon's_outlook :) ). I was going to mention it to one of the lounge staff, but my phone rang and after a lengthy conversation it was time to leave and I didn't think about it. If someone can post a link where I can send the pic in via one of those social media thingys, without having an account, I shall do so.

Its not worth a separate post, but on the flight down from BNE I was in row 14, the 2nd exit row. The 2 people sitting next to me reclined their seats. No problem (for me). But when we started descent and the FAs came round for their pre-landing inspection, a total of three of them (including the senior FA) failed to notice the seats were reclined, so they stayed that way until just before touch-down when the pax realised it and put the seats upright. This in spite of the fact that one FA had a very close look at the situation (being an exit row) and asked for the shade to be put up. No biggie and we all got there OK but this sort of thing always makes me wonder what else they might be missing ...

I don't usually comment on foot on [insert object] threads, but those feet are gross. Plus, on a table, seriously, that is just disgusting, people put their food on that, after her filthy gross feet have been resting on it.

Disgusting. I don't know why VA don't toss people out for that. If QF makes such a fuss about people being underdressed for the lounge, then VA should at least boot people out for this kind of cough.

It is these types of things that let Virgin Australia down. Hopefully there was some action by Virgin staff however, my experience at Brisbane is that the uniformed VA staff rarely get out from behind there counters/desks.

Where are the dreaded BA dragons when they would be useful:)

Just hope I don't run into that creature on any of my flights. Those feet look putrid.

That is not disgusting. She is just tired and needs to get her feet up.

What's disgusting is how we (society) have allowed these cretins to grow up drumming it into them that it is OK to be an individual and anything they want to do is acceptable.
