Seeking recommendation for restaurant in Canberra

I am looking for some recommendations for a couple of restaurants in Canberra for an upcoming visit. Not looking for the best fine dining experience and looking to keep to a moderate budget without resorting to take-aways I will be paying the bill, so not too high-end.

Family friendly. Will have 5 adults and 1 child one night, and probably 6 adults and 1 child second night. Perhaps one Italian and one Thai restaurant, but the style is not really important. We will have transport so location is also not critical.

Some suggestions from a colleague who used to live in CBR:

Belluci's - Woden (Italian). Family friendly and has good food.
Jamie's Italian - City.

ChongCo Thai - Various locations. Kingston Foreshore location is nice.
Lemon Grass Thai - City

What's the area where you intend staying?

If inner south, there is a huge range of places in Manuka and also nearby Kingston (old shops and new foreshore area). Depending on the night you may even run into a few pollies and their assorted hangers-on. Le Rendezvous at Manuka is good for families for pizza/pasta, but also does good serious food as well. I've been going there for over 45 years!

Dickson on the north side has a good range of Asian places, (it has Canberra's so called China Town). For a small shopping centre, Mawson has excellent variety as well.

Mort and Lonsdale streets in Braddon, just north of Civic is also a bit of a hub.

Plus one for Bulluci's, can't really go wrong there.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are staying at Crowne Plaza and went to Jamie's Italian tonight (and Koko Black for desert). We were happy with the food, price, location and atmosphere for our group. Tomorrow we will aim for ChongCo Thai.

We enjoyed Mezzalira in Civic.

Too many options! Looks like we'll have to make more trips to Canberra (very likely over next few years). Ended up at Lemongrass Thai (City) tonight. Great food. Fed and watered 7 of us for $134. It was an easy 15 min walk from Crowne Plaza.
