Seat Release Dates

Hi,
just wondering if airlines have a common date for releasing seats into the GDS for commercial sale? Planning a trip to SIN to connect with a cruise for after Christmas 2015 returning three weeks later in January, 2016. Are the first released seats usually a good saving?

It does vary from airline to airline somewhat. QF is 353 days out.

From what ive found they release them 'normal' price first and then about 1-3 months later they have sales for those dates 'early bird'. However I have not looked closely around xmas times before and I imagine that they probably just start going up. sales hardly ever include travel dates around xmas except premimum cabins
