AA72, the 1115 hours pleasantly scheduled SYD - LAX (B789) had just 51 passengers in a 198 seat economy class cabin for its Wednesday 9 February 2022 journey.
This equals 25.75 per cent of seats in the cabin occupied: very poor.
J however was far better with 29 of 30 taken, although how many were non-revenue or minimal contributors (such as staff travel)is unknown. Skyrocketing freight rates would also help, and maybe there were more whY passengers coming into Oz westbound.
