Hi all,

I've flown plenty of long haul to Bangkok in the old A330 fitout in Row 23/24 and had no trouble with the bulkheads (in fact found it very pleasurable). Upcoming flight in April to Honolulu, the Row 45 bulkheads are available in the middle. Seatguru says restricted legroom. I find this hard to believe. Is this still an optimum row choice?

You flying QF or JQ?
Not that I can give indepth advice... but...
If JQ, I would not expect an ounce of anything "nice" spacewise.
I have travelled QF and EK J and Y, and JQ J and Y, and comparingly, EK J best then EK Y (both B777 from CHC to SYD), second QF J and then Y, and last, JQ J (A330) and JQ Y (B787).
Asked for a drink on JQ J, upon take off and of all things, got forgotten by the FA, but I didn't want to kick up a stink, so sat back and mused about JQ's services, fuming to myself.

Don't mean to steal the thread but it's a relevant topic for me. Can anyone give any seating advice for 2 adults with an infant in J on the refurb? Currently in the centre pairing as far forward as I can select (row 5 I think). Will the centre pairing be better for communication etc or would one window and one centre right across the aisle be better? Infant is 18mths if that's relevant and would hope to grab him a seat of his own to sleep in of loading permits.

I didn't think the bulkheads in economy have changed that much. I would expect row 45 bulkhead to have exactly the same legroom as row 23 bulkhead.

excuse my language..but I find seatguru to be c**p with respect to its 'seat notes'...they just roll out generic 'notes' on the sole 'reason' the seats are located in a 'particular' area...without taking into account HOW airlines have actually placed/spaced their seats...ie seatguru stock standard 'notes' are.. bulkhead=less legroom ... toilets=noise...last rows=less/no recline... if you find row23/24 ok for you...then row 45 bulkhead will be great for you :)

Agreed. Seat Gurus notes leave much to be desired!!!
