Hello,

I have booked my partner and daughter (10) on the a350 in J ADL-DOH-BOS. I have not flown on this aircraft and would like the advice from those that have.

Are the J seats slightly off set between A and E, or F and K. Also is there a diver that can be raised between E and F. I have looked at the seat maps, photos and video on the net but it is difficult to determine.

They are currently in 2K and 3K but I was thinking it may be easier for them if they were next to each other in row 2 or 3 in either a A/E, or F/K combination.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi Matt_01

I was on it on DOH-ADL about a month ago and took these pics (I'm currently ploughing through a Trip Report on Turkey and Oman, but won't come to the return flight for a bit). I'll provide as much info as I can, for others that may look here.

To answer your question directly - adjacent seats on opposite sides of the aisle have no offset (or negligible), and look slightly away from each other as shown here:

I found a minor problem in this configuration. I was in a K (window) seat. The chap adjacent to me watched his TV for most of the flight. The screens are pretty big, and pretty bright and the angle of the screen was such that it shone directly over me. There isn't much head privacy even in the bed mode so the light was affecting my going to sleep (I'm a really light sleeper on planes.) I eventually moved to the back of the cabin, which was almost empty and took up another seat/bed.

There is heaps of room for your stuff. Controls are easy to get to, as are the power points. the TV is fixed in front of you; the table slides out from underneath it.

Lots of leg room of course. When in the bed mode, your feet are on top of the ottoman. Its narrow where your feet are, but not as narrow as some airlines.

There is wi-fi on board. They say its 15 free to start with, but its only about 5 MB and gone in an instant. Then you can buy various plans - I bought 'an hour' for US$5 - but its also limited to 30MB, so went pretty quick. there are other, larger plans.

Happy to answer any other queries on the plane or DOH (ie Duty Free there is expensive!!)
