I am booked on QF25 on the 27th from MEL to LAX va ALK. I am booked in Class U (Business) but have been assigned seat 3F. The booking shows the aircraft to be a 747 400. Could anyone assit? Normally QF25 is a J and Y Class only A/C without a seat 3F. Would Qantas use one of its 3 class 747's and just put U class passangers in the first seats? or does this mean another A/C such as the A330?

I have been on QF25 MEL-AKL when it was a 3 class 747 aircraft. Was seated in on one the F seats as an upgrade on points from Y. Business load seem lighter compared to the direct flight which leaves MEL about the same time. A few weeks ago QF25 on a Wed had at least 12 spare C seats. (I was on an upgrade with points to C again)

This question would be better on the QF forum and not the "your questions" forum. Maybe the moderators will move

I just checked EF and it looks like maybe they have subbed in a 744 3 class, and yes some J passangers will just end up in F (with std J service i would assume)

The reason i say 3 class is that 4E/F is missing from the map and J is also showing row 23-26 where a 2 class its only row 23/24

But my understanding is 3K is on all versions anyway.

Sounds like an upgrade of a seat for your flight then :) but with same J service.
