Seamless transfer in SYD.Dom to Int.

Coming into SYD dom with award VA tix.
Going out to AKL on (Air) NZ rev tix.
Not linked PNR.
11.25am to 14.00pm need time to pass immi and custom outgoing.
Will do OLCI with both.
Has anyone suceeded in getting the VA bus from dom to int with a similar scenario?

I'd be very surprised and annoyed if you couldn't get the free transfer bus with your int. flight being on one of VAs partner airlines - Just saying

Show your onward flight details for the day and all should be well.... Should.... ??

If connecting Domestic to international on a through ticket at SYD on check in at your outbound port (e.g. ADL) you would be given your boarding passes in a folder with a tear off ticket for the bus. Since these are separate tickets I don't know if that would happen.

FWIW, the VA Bus is actually the public TBus - it heads landside after picking up from downstairs Gate 44(?) to pick up paying passengers there before heading to international T1.

I did an international to domestic t'fer yesterday from a Delta LAX-SYD (06:20 hrs) to a Virgin SYD-MELB flt (08:30).
Very streamline process. Landed, cleared through customs ect and arrived at domestic (via bus) in prob just over one hour.
Virgin desk staff were very helpful.

I have been given a transfer pass by VA before when coming off an EY flight on 2 different tickets.
