Seabourn Encore Alaska. Expedition. Will we like Seabourn?

Booking makes sense and I’m not surprised that they are booked out already. Are they charging for them, or are they included in the fare?
I don’t think they would allow you to sit and drop to the zodiac. There is plenty of help to ensure people get on and off safely.

So definitely not an expedition cruise where all zodiac excursions and transfers are included . However charging is understandable otherwise with potentially 600 guests zodiac operations would not be feasible.

Alaska excursions are always eye watering. And it doesn't seem to deter the thronging masses. Im not likely to undertake an Arctic/Antarctica cruise so it's kinda moot for me.

Although it sounds like you have settled on Seabourn just be aware that Ponant cabins are very small for 2 pax (the usual balcony grade) - suites are double the size but are then only about the same size as the standard ones on Silversea (and probably Seabourn I would think). For one pax Ponant is fine but we did find it a bit 'cosy' when we went to Antarctica on Soleal,

Yes. Seabourn it is. Fascinating itinerary so looking forward to it. Looks like very roomy suites, and walk in robe! Large bathroom too.
