Hi Everyone,

In about 6 months I am embarking on a trip with a group of around 35 other people and this is our current flight itinerary.
Fri/19/09 Mackay / Brisbane 1040-1200 1:20 Virgin Blue DJ948 B737
Fri/19/09 Brisbane / Singapore 1355-1950 7:55 Qantas QF51 A330-300
Sat/20/09 Singapore / Istanbul 2310-0600 6:50 Turkish Airlines TK67 A330-200
Fri/26/09 Istanbul / Brussels 0750-1015 2:25 Turkish Airlines TK1937 B737-800
Sun/05/10 Paris / Bangkok 1130-1305 25:35 Turkish Airlines TK1826 B737, A330-200
Thu/09/10 Bangkok / Sydney 1810-0705 8:55 Qantas QF2 B747-400
Fri/10/10 Sydney / Mackay 1045-1205 1:20 Virgin Blue DJ451 B737

Can you envisage any problems with these flights/connection times/etc?
We will be spending around 10 hours at Istanbul airport. Has anyone been there? Is it a nice airport? Is it good for shopping?

I realise some of the flight length times are off due to timezone/daylight savings I expect.

Also, on out second last flight where we pick up the QF2 from London at Bangkok, is there any chance at all that this could possibly an A380 flight. From what I understand, Qantas is receiving an A380 in September and that they will be used on premier flights (such as QF1/2).

I will appreciate any comments.

The connection time Sydney-Mackay on the way home is a bit tight, but your TA should be able to advise whether they are within min. connect times on the rest.

Istanbul airport is nothing special, from memory (i was there 8 months ago, but see so many airports its hard to remember) there's not much to do there are all except wait for your flight.

The A380 won't be in the European routes for at least 12 months after first delivery. Qantas requires 3 x A380 to ensure a single daily LAX service, and they have stated that MEL-LAX will be the initial route. They have also said SYD-LAX is likely to be the second route, so that will require another 3 x A380 for a daily service. So London is not going to get a regular QF A380 until at least the 7th aircraft delivery.
