Scams like these

Except when it is - after logging in, navigate to Your information (at the end of the list), then -->
Did you click on it? It takes you to a series of articles only. There is nothing about there about 2FA.

Edit: OK so it's now showing that I have 2FA set. Yesterday when I posted it was just showing a series of articles, no information. Since then I have updated my settings in the app (thanks again @pjm99au) so perhaps triggered something on the desktop version 🤷‍♀️

Indeed, yes I have - both in the app and on the website. I have seen/attempted to activate the 2FA option, but get stuck in interminable loops and nothing sticks. 😵‍💫

Been dealing with a weird one the last couple of weeks from Telstra.
First noticed it when I received two emails from Telstra with an update from my “order”
Knowing that I hadn’t ordered anything I went in to the local store and the staff member found 2 new business plans had been opened in my name and added to my account.
Went on to the ABN lookup website and that day someone had created a Business using my first name as the business name and had then somehow used that ABN to open two new mobile accounts on my account and even have my CC number attached for billing purposes. Have had several interactions with Telstra fraud team since aswell as my bank and everyone is stumped to as how it happened

HSBC have decided that they will refund my money from the scam that put nearly $4k on my credit card - that's very kind of them. 🤷‍♀️

Having had two instances of identity theft used for fraud with Telstra this year, I'm not at all stumped. Telstra are beyond useless. The first instance occured becasue their off shore call centre did not perform any identity check when he changed my email and address and then sold an iPhone and plan for $2600! The second was yesterday but at least they used 2FA and the text came to me (but Telstra are shocking at porting people's numbers out without verifying identity - happened to someone I know who then sat and watched helplessly as the shisters drained her bank accounts).

I've spent half my day in the bank and on the phone because 4 accounts were opened in my name at a bank I don't use anymore. The fraudsters have been using my passport and driver license to open accounts to syphon scam money into. Passport now cancelled and will have to apply for a new one from scratch...and pay for it out of my own pocket. Thank goodness I'm not flying internationally until April.
