I keep clicking report spam, but I'm not sure what it does. Has anyone seen text messages get delivered to a 'spam' folder?Just received another version of the Aus Post scam sms

On my Apple devices, it simply deletes the message and reports the event to Apple. (See screen shot below)I keep clicking report spam, but I'm not sure what it does. Has anyone seen text messages get delivered to a 'spam' folder?
I'll probably keep doing it but it seems futile
Put this number - 0429 999 888 - in your contacts and identify it as Report Fraud or a similar name that you will remember. It sends the SMS directly to ACMA and does contribute to bringing down scammers. When you receive a scam text, simply forward to this number.I keep clicking report spam, but I'm not sure what it does. Has anyone seen text messages get delivered to a 'spam' folder?
