Hi guys,
been a bit of a lurker here but have learn a whole heap of knowlege so far and have been very thankful for it!

Quick question if I may.

Im looking to get maximum SC at the cheapest price (well duh..) out of BNE.
Any suggestions?
Im too time poor to do a DONE4 but happy for a holiday O/S. Currently QP Bronze and need 120 Status to go Silver by end of Oct.. so probably cant squeeze that in :( but looking to next year.. my new job require more travel, so the bonus credits on higher status will help me retain it in future.

JQ18 BNE-SYD $239 Starclass 40SC (Sunday?)
JQ1 SYD-MEL $239 Starclass 40SC (Monday?)
JQ30 MEL-SYD $239 Starclass 40SC (Tuesday?)

That should cover the 120SCs. Add on a

QF SYD-BNE $120 Red-E-Deal 10SC

or Virgin Blue / Jetstar Fare to get you home, and some hotel stays, maybe using 5K point breaks at Holiday Inns, etc... 20k Priority Club points can be bought for US$200, which is 4 nights hotels until end of year.

Up to you, whether Silver is worth anything though...

Thanks for the fast turnaround. the JQ star class domestic hope before O/S departure.. can SCs be earnt on them?

SCs are earnt on Jetstar JetFlex and StarClass.

Other cheap option is a one-way StarClass to DPS or somewhere else, via SYD/MEL.

40SC for BNE-SYD/MEL
100SC for MEL/SYD-DPS

Jetstar - Qantas Frequent Flyer

I don't know of anything cheaper than AU$6/SC, unless you do a *ONE* or perhaps on AA in the USA...

That is not quite true. With higher status you get bonus QFF points but not bonus status credits.

So as a Silver you would earn 25% bonus QFF points on QF, BA and AA flights, as a Gold you would earn 50% bonus QFF points on QF, BA and AA flights and as a Platinum you would earn 100% bonus QFF points on QF, BA and AA flights.

Once you have reached a higher status then you will require less status credits to retain that status, eg Silver 350 SCs to attain and then 300 SCs to retain, Gold 700 SCs to attain and then 600 SCs to retain, Platinum 1400 SCs to attain and then 1200 SCs to retain.
