Same Day Return Flights & On Arrival Lounge Access

Hi team,

I strongly suspect that someone somewhere has answered this question before but I can't find it.

I am a lowly Silver/QP FF. If I were travelling to Melbourne for a 7am arrival and had a return ticket at 8pm in J, what are my chances of getting a day's work done in the Business Lounge before heading into the city for a 3pm appointment and then being readmitted on my return?

I'm thinking chances are low, but someone may have experience.

I have done this in the days of being a Gold QFF. Day trip for a 3 hour workshop, worked from lounge from morning til lunch. Besides a comment of "you're very early", I was admitted without fuss.

Access is same day for business class, so you can spend the whole day in there and leave and re-enter as frequently as you want.
