Have a "Sale ticket to Singapore from Perth is it worth asking at the Lounge reception if we can upgrade with points to J ? Thanks in advance.

Is this with Qantas? If so, international sale tickets generally can't be upgraded with points, unfortunately.

Found it, Economy (O)

You may request an international Classic Upgrade Reward[SUP]~[/SUP] from:

  • Economy[SUP]~~~[/SUP] (excluding Discount Economy E, N, O, Q and X class[SUP]₪[/SUP]) to Premium Economy (where available[SUP]π[/SUP])
  • Flexible Economy[SUP]~~~[/SUP] to Premium Economy (where available[SUP]π[/SUP])
  • Economy[SUP]~~~[/SUP] (excluding Discount Economy E, N, O, Q and X class[SUP]₪[/SUP]) to Business

And for On Departure Upgrade Rewards at the airport or At The Qantas Club upgrades, it's only for domestic flights.

I suspect your best (only?) chance would be to try for a Bid Now upgrade. But I suspect it would be unlikely that it would be offered on SIN-PER, with only 12 seats in the J cabin.

Thanks Mattg, but that's new one on me, how do I go about it????
