Just recently completed a 7 night stay in Sagara Villas and Suites Sanur, completing my first international trip since January 2020. I was fortunate to book in January when there were significant restrictions on travel to Indonesia, so I got a reasonable price of $50 a night.

The room was good, but a bit worn, so not quite a 5 star experience as listed in the description. The main feature of the room, being massive at 85 square metres was accurate and the bed and furniture was nice.

There were two baths, which seemed a bit over the top, but I was able to use each at least once.

The air conditioning was very capable, and much appreciated given the temperature and humidity.

The breakfast was basic, including a dish, fruit and choice of coffee or tea. There was no buffet breakfast offered, contradicting the hotel listing. Given the additional cost, I would have preferred to get a breakfast somewhere locally instead.

The mie goreng (pictured) was good, but given I had it in many other meals, I would have liked more variety. My favourite breakfast was the poached eggs.

I used the airport transfer service, which was 250k IDR for a pickup. It was significantly more expensive than Gojek or a local bus, but I considered it worthwhile for convenience. I took a Gojek car to the airport on finishing my trip which was 100k IDR, including 10k cash that I had to give to the driver for the airport drop off surcharge.

Overall conclusion, I would be happy to stay somewhere else next time, but will certainly consider staying again if I wanted to be in the Denpasar area and it was at the right price.

Just stayed here too, found it very pleasant, staff were lovely
Definitely prefer this to the large hotels

How was breakfast? I was wondering if I experienced the limited covid breakfast options

It was similar to what you described, about 10 options with fruit and drinks

Thought was good actually, personally prefer that to buffet
