I received an email from Rydges saying that Novotel Norwest Sydney had from today been rebranded Rydges'.

It's close (a kilometre) to the new Sydney Northwest Metro rail line to Chatswood (and then change for Sydney) that should open 'mid year.'

There's some opening special as low as A$179. This may be reasonable value for the area that has many businesses.

I don't know how old the hotel is: it looks fairly modern.

Certainly not much notice of the change but that may be due to a clause in the operating contract.

Rather than start a new thread(s) I thought I would post here.
Rydges have just announced 2 new properties in NSW, Armidale and Tamworth. For +1 and I, Armidale is a welcome addition.

Is it worth a moderator changing the thread title to something like Rydges - New Property Announcements?

The Sydney Metro line is in the news today: 33,000 passengers each way are using it on a typical weekday, considered good.

Have any AFFers patronised this new Sydney Rydges property?
