Ryan Walker Aman Incident

I would say that many of the responses here are throwing the baby out with the bath water. Are their cough reviewers? Absolutely. Is there slop travel content? Absolutely. Is that all the travel content on youtube? Absolutely not.

Agree with this - as you say, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. A travel reviewer isn't automatically an "influencer". Influencers are typically cash for comment for products and services.

There's plenty of good, earnest and informative travel reviewers online.

In some cases their content can be fantastic for pre-trip research. I could name a bunch of great travel channels on youtube that have helped me learn and plan.
Or any brand that bans filming by "content creators".

Those of us that create Trip Reports on this site - are "content creators", no?
