Galley rumour strikes again, was told by a friend who works at VA that they are taking the A330 to AUH (when they get new ones, possibly). The emails are apparently sent to the pilots. Good use of the new flashy terminal in PER for transit...

Interesting, considering that John Borghetti has hinted at an International destination for the A330s for a little while now.

Wouldn't AUH be a route better suited to a new 777?

I know they're both twin aisle, but if they want Airbus, why not get an A350 at least? :p

EY flies an A330 between PER and AUH.

That's very interesting. I guess it's plausible.

I must say, I'd be really disappointed to see another Australia–AUH route. Give us another destination!

If you already have a partner flying the route, why join them? :p

Surely they should open a route to somewhere not already serviced, and perhaps serviced in another direction by a partner, to fill in a gap.

How about ADL-AUH?

VA ADL - KUL would be good, at the moment its either flying OW's MH or go SQ to SIN, then SQ or MI.
((Friend that works for VA, I am green with envy!))

Agree. Anywhere on the east coast of AUS to HKG 5 days a week & definitely not on an Airbus plane. Stick to Boeing (VA) :!:

Makes sense to me
