Hi,
Completely new to this, but here goes! There are 4 of us planning a trip to London/Paris/Italy in 2013. I have just heard that its better to use the 'round world' option when using my QFF points. Does anyone know how this works? We want to go from Sydney to either Hong Kong or Singapore (stay for 1 or 2 nights), then onto London. Stay in London for a few nights, then train it to Paris and Italy. Then we get back on a plane from London back home but stopping off somewhere on the way home!

Basic rule is you have to have 2 non QF Oneworld carriers and can have 5 stops. Availability is always an issue so book as early as possible.

Economy RTW OW Award is 140k points per person plus taxes. London adds a lot to taxes so try to fly to say Paris instead and you could catch the train to London for the same or less price and have an enjoyable experience to boot.

Strongly recommend you play around with the online booking, as soon as the 140k award is the cheapest option the booking will change to that as you continue to select flights. Good luck.

What do you need for J class? I need to seriously look at this for next sept

Good luck when you try to fly US to Oz as not many J Classic Award seats available. Unless of course, you want to fly Y to BNE, then J BNE to SYD. And yes, QF will charge you J points for the privilige. What a rip off.

Hi all, i need your collective help please.been saving my points for a QF J rtw will book it 12 months ahead when i have the necessary 280K later this year. Seeing as i previously travelled on 6 of the 12 airlines, i want this new trip to include the other 6 i haven't been on before. MH, JL, LA, S7, RJ, AB,my 5 x stops are NRT, LAS, JFK, GRU, CMB. Trying to work out how to get as many flights on those airlines. I don't care how much transiting i do. i would like to travel at least twice on each airline. Is there a limit? QF told me 35k miles is the max that can be accomodated with 5 stops, but didn't say about the max # airlines. How do i calculate the miles and what do think is the best routing for me to have at least 2 flights on each of the 6 ailines. I don't care if i have to travel AA from LAX to LAS, or QF from LAX to JFK. I will have lounge access and its the thrill of doing something on my bucket list while catching up with friends at stopovers.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
